NONPROFIT: At 2220 S 10th St, Centerpointe has pulled a $4,593,586.00 building permit for a rehab facility. CenterPointe purchased the building from the County in 2025, and earlier in 2019 purchased an iconic east of it from the County.
EDUCATION: at 1545 S Street, a Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority remodel of third floor bathrooms and hallway is underway for a $500,000 building permit.
MIXED USE: The Grow Lincoln show reported on KLIN’s LNK Today Show that Lincoln Station and its south parking lot at 201. N. 7th have been sold for $4 million. The current restaurants and Great Hall are expected to remain intact. The new buyer is performing structural studies and evaluating easement and historical restrictions to determine potential re-use of the upper areas of the building and the feasibility of rooftop dining and conversion to wedding-themed hotel or short-term rentals.
CHILDCARE: Sprouts is opening a location at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church at 2325 S. 24th. A $3.5 million permit has been pulled for a childcare facility at 7520 Archer Place on a vacant parcel at the intersection of Nebraska Parkway and Pine Lake Rd.
RESTAURANT: UNL Foodcourt will open Sossy restaurant this fall, which, according to the Daily Nebraskan, is a BBQ eatery, as well as Choolah, a small eastern-United States chain with Indian barbecue.
