OFFICE: A new co-working building has opened in Lincoln by Southwest High School at 1301 Garret Lane. SpringPad is locally owned, according to its website, and offers hot desks, month to month leases, short term warehouse space, and is open 24/7.
RESIDENTIAL: At N. 22nd, N. 23rd, Y Street, and W Street, in a neighborhood called Turbine Flats, Lincoln Lumber proposed to City Council on June 15 to change zoning from industrial to residential and create up to 185 dwelling units in this multi-block area.
ENTERTAINMENT: At 403 Line Drive at Haymarket Park, a baseball locker renovation is underway showing a $2,750,000 building permit. A similar permit has been pulled for 400 Line Dive Cr at Haymarket Park for a softball locker renovation in the amount of $ 1,250,000. In other entertainment news, on the City Council schedule for June 29 is Block 65 downtown, which contains a parking garage, and is under option to be sold to the County in order to construct a parking garage for the proposed Convention Center. The Sharp Building is to the north.
RETAIL: The International Council of Shopping centers published a list of national retail tenants predicted to grow the most, according to Placer.ai. This is an unranked list and there have been no new Lincoln announcements, although several of these chains have a presence in Lincoln: Michaels, Walmart, Dillards, 7-Brew, HomeGoods, Chuck E Cheese, Pop Mart, EoS Fitness, and HEB grocery stores. 7-Brew has stores under construction in Lincoln currently.
