RESTAURANT: Los Gonzales at 2310 N. 1st Street, near First and Cornhusker Highway, has closed.
MEDICAL: Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition purchased 5101 Central Park Drive. The clinic plans to serve its constituency but will also be open to the public.
OFFICE: (pictured) Gatlin Psychiatric Services, which has operated for about a year, announced in a press release that it is relocating from 1919 S. 40th Street to 3201 Pioneers Boulevard. The move is intended to broaden services from symptom management to a more comprehensive, whole-person mental health approach that combines traditional psychiatry with support for sleep, nutrition, laboratory testing, stress, and lifestyle factors. Strictly Business Magazine reports that Genuine Global Care, a home health services provider, has moved into its building at 4535 Normal Boulevard. Eschliman Commercial Real Estate and On-Point Insurance are also expected to locate in the building in April.
RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL: A 40-acre parcel east of S. 84th Street and South Street, across from the former fire station and nearby mini-storage facility, is being considered for annexation into the City of Lincoln. The land is currently an unincorporated “island” surrounded on most sides by previously annexed property. Plans call for up to 40,000 square feet of commercial space along 84th Street, likely office use under B-2 zoning, along with approximately 175 homes and townhouses.
