RETAIL: Blown, the hair styling business formerly located at 29th Street and Pine Lake Road across from SouthPointe Mall, has opened a new location at 575 Fallbrook Boulevard, where a liquor license request was approved in November. Blown also purchased Tranquility Spa at 2920 Copper Ridge Drive in December (pictured), just south of Kohl’s at 29th Street and Yankee Hill Road.
MANUFACTURING: At 5400 N Cotner Blvd, Archer Daniels Midlands pulled a $4.5M interior renovation for a specialized piece of equipment at its bean and grain processing plant. ADM is shutting down its 540 South Street flour mill, according to Lincoln Journal Star. ADM is a global company with 31,000 employees in over 170 countries.
CATERING: J & F ChefauChef, which has been a food service caterer since 2012, has moved to a building constructed for them by Hampton Development at 2111 N 86th near Planet Fitness (N. 84th & Leighton.) The building has drive thru pickup for the orders. They have moved from the Bottlers Building at 25th & Randolph, which was purchased by LPS.
OFFICE: The Terminal Building at 947 O Streets (S. 10th & O St) is requesting “super blighted” status and an extension of TIF tax incentive from 15 years, a designation it got in 2020, to 20 years. According to the Urban Development Department in city council records, “the switch…does not change the cost benefit analysis because no significant tax increment was generated during the first four years of the project.” The project will have commercial office space on floor 2 instead of floors 2 and 3, and 40 residential units above that.
CHURCH: Connecting Pointe Church has pulled a tenant finish permit for a new church assembly space at 2601 N. 11th Street, Suites 5 and 6. The Phase 1 permit is valued at $1,150,632.
