RESTAURANT: A Hardee’s location is coming to 1105 West Bond Street, where it will operate inside the Fat Dog’s truck stop.

CATERING: Local catering company ChefauChef, in operation since 2012, is expanding with a new building at 2111 N. 86th Street, near Planet Fitness at the southeast corner of N. 84th and Leighton. Developed by Hampton Development, the new facility includes plans for a drive-thru service, according to building permit filings.

RETAIL: A new AutoZone store is planned for 2821 Northstar Crossing Drive, with a building permit filed for a 32,320-square-foot, single-story retail facility valued at $3.31 million.

NONPROFIT; Northeast Childcare Center is leasing space from First United Methodist Church at North 50th Street and St. Paul Avenue on the Nebraska Wesleyan University campus. The organization is currently undergoing Planning Commission and City Council review for a new childcare facility designed to serve 80 children with 17 staff members.

WAREHOUSE: Schwisow Construction held a ribbon-cutting Wednesday for its expanded facility at 3700 S. 6th Street, located behind the 9th Street grain elevator and JetSplash. The company specializes in warehouse projects but handles a wide range of commercial construction work.
