BUSINESS NEWS IN LINCOLN: RESTAURANTS–Abelardo’s Mexican Restaurant is set to open at 8430 Eiger Drive, near South 84th Street and Nebraska Parkway. The restaurant will occupy 1,245 square feet, with an $800,000 building permit on file. In Northeast Lincoln, demolition has begun on the Sonic Drive-In at N. 84th and Holdrege. McDonald’s plans to complete construction and reopen by the end of the year.
OFFICE: Zelle Human Resource Solutions has relocated to the Sampson Building, located at the southwest corner of South 14th Street and Old Cheney Road across from Virtual Incision. The building formerly housed Information Technology operations.
MEDICAL: At 2300 S. 16th Street, Bryan West Campus has filed a $1.65 million permit for an energy plant addition.
WAREHOUSE: An interior remodel is underway at 1133 Libra Drive, where Epp Foundation Repair and HobbyTown operate. The remodel is valued at $150,000.
RETAIL: Near the former south Lincoln Kohl’s location, Restore Hyper Wellness has closed. Taking its place at 8601 S. 30th Street, Suite 107, is Jewel Prom and Pageant, which is converting the space to a mercantile use with an open clothing showroom.
