RESTAURANT: Open, Ty’s BBQ and Smashys, formerly known as Norm’s, Super C, 3202 S 10th and Cornhusker Bar and Grill, in the former Tackroom Bar, at 1445 Cornhusker Hwy.
OFFICE: In a press release, Gatlin Psychiatric Services, which has been opened for a year announced a relocation from 1919 S. 40th to 3201 Pioneers Blvd in order to broaden services from managing symptoms to also include whole-person mental health care. The service combines traditional psychiatry with support for sleep, nutrition, lab tests, stress and lifestyle.
RETAIL: (picture courtesy Sarah Hinds) K.T. Designs Home Décor and Gifts is moving into Gateway Mall. The business was formerly located in the Union Bank & Trust Lobby as a pop-up at 1248 O Street. The Grand Opening will be March 14.
ENTERTAINMENT: Make It Pop party furniture rental and party furnishings, which is located at 74th & Yankee Hill, is expanding and offering an 80-person event venue called The Wes & Levy, according to Strictly Business Magazine. They are targeting corporate events, nonprofits, and smaller private events.
EDUCATION: Alpha Gamma NU Agmen Fraternity House appears to have closed at 3248 Starr Street near East Campus, and it went up for sale in the past week. It was built in 1912 and experienced additions and renovations over the years.
