3/3/25RETAIL: A new clothing store for women at SouthPointe Mall, Madida, opened March 1. The store began in 2017 in Omaha, and this is the second location. It is located next to Sephora near the parking garage in the 2940 building, and its clothing is geared towards younger women. Ernie’s Mattress moved from a strip center to a newly constructed free-standing store by Starbucks at S. 29th and Yankee Hill Road in front of Kohls store.
INDUSTRIAL: At the Lincoln Airport, Sky West is opening a maintenance facility with a new hangar for its mechanics and is adding 25 jobs. .Sky West is a contractor that assists United in transporting Lincoln passengers to Chicago and to Denver.
CHILD CARE: TMCO, a powder coating, fabrication, and manufacturer of metal products owns a house at 6th & F Streets and has made a request with the Planning Commission for a corporate day care facility for up to 30 children.
NONPROFIT – Mourning Hope Grief Center located in the West A neighborhood at 1311 Folsom St across from Willard Community Center has a $90,000 building permit to remodel its existing space. Mourning Hope moved into its facility in 2021 and counsels families that are in bereavement.
