RESIDENTIAL: The City is easing its development policies on wastewater systems in order to allow housing at S. 98th and Pine Lake Road. A project before the City Council will allow 679 homes and 60,000 square feet of commercial space, according to Lincoln Journal Star. Lincoln typically grows between 2,100 and 2,400 people per year. Lincoln had a new construction inventory average of 1,406 homes per month in 2025, and competition for existing houses drove prices up 4.1% in 2025, according to the Realtors Association of Lincoln.
RETAIL: Bricks and Minifigs, a Utah-based franchised Legos and figurines reseller, is coming to Centro Plaza at 440 N. 48th and was founded by two fathers bidding competitively online for missing pieces in play sets.
FLEX: Development is commencing on a new business park adjacent to Heritage Nursery on S. 14th Street between Rokeby and Saltillo Roads. Flex buildings typically contain warehouse, showroom, office, service, or a combination of functions.
OFFICE: Farmer’s Mutual near Nebraska Parkway and S. 10th Street at 3850 Vermaas Place has an $850,000 building permit for an insurance addition.
