RESTAURANTS: A press release from Andrew Klein of Klein’s Funnel Cakes announced that Mariscos el Ray has opened at 201 Sun Valley Boulevard, offering ceviches and aguachiles, Mexican sushi, Baja tacos, and seafood towers. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., closed Mondays. Closed: Ika San Ramen Restaurant at SouthPointe Mall.

RETAIL: Sara Market at North 27th and Cornhusker is moving into the former Mai’s Market grocery store near Capitol Beach at 1349 W O. Buresh Meats announced plans to open in the former grocery store at 4646 Huntington. The company also operates stores in David City, Columbus, and Coleridge.

EDUCATION: The City Council is considering annexation of 67.5 acres for an educational facility at the northwest and southwest corners of South Folsom and West Pioneers. The annexation area includes land owned by the YMCA, Wright Park.

OFFICE: Fallbrook Town Center in northwest Lincoln has a new office building under construction. Speculative office construction remains rare in Lincoln, with most projects beginning only after tenants are secured.

INDUSTRIAL: At 8000 SW 12th Street, just south of Denton Road and not far from the casino, a steel storage building upgrade is underway for LES Rokeby Equipment Storage Building, with the building permit listed at $1.9 million.
